Valpolicella Ripasso wines are deeply colored, rich, densely jammy wines that are lip-smacking good. The term “Ripasso” refers to this luscious, richly-textured style of wine, which is made by taking the freshly fermented Valpolicella wine, adding Amarone pomace to it (seeds, skins, and grape pulp), and then re-fermenting it altogether.
