Dark, inky and mysterious, this gorgeous sparkling red from Slovenia's premiere natural winemakers is as rich and intense as it is approachable and fun.

Refosk is a storied grape with a long history in the lands around the Istrian sea, a favorite of the Roman Empress Livia. Somewhat similar to Lambrusco (though more structured and deep in color) this wine pairs up beautifully with dank charcuterie.  

Deep currant and black fruit flavors chased with earthy sincerity make up the lovely, voluminous and smooth body of the wine, which finishes with enough structure to stand up to steak and venison, though it shines best with speck, jamon and salumi.
