Grape - 100% Godello. Pairing: Appetizers, patés, salads with smoked meats, all kinds of Asian food, shellfish such as oysters and clams. 

Winemakers Maribel and Juanjo Rodriguez are dedicated to making natural wine in La Tierra del Vino de Zamora one of the oldest wine making regions of the Iberian peninsula. southwest of the Duero River, one hour from the Portuguese border. They have only 4 hectares of organic certified vineyards. Half planted by them in 1999 and 2005 and the other half rescued from disappearance as they are very old vines (1909) and were not very productive.

Their first vintage was in 2009. They started by certifying the wines in bio and with Denomination of Origin, but the need for freedom has forced them to give it up. Their land is generous and allows them this way of working. They discarded the barrels because they gave them too much volatility and some strange aromas and they were not willing to change every two years, it seemed wasteful. Now they use clay jars and stainless steel tanks. They do everything in small batches, some of only 300 bottles. Fresh-pressed whites and "embabujados" (ORANGES) in monovarietal and multivarietal, Clarets and Reds. Wines are made by intuition and they say they are constantly learning.
