Kontozisis Organic Vineyards is an organic grower in Karditsa, a rural town in the region of Thessaly.The winery and vineyards are on the foothills of mount Agrafa, in two distinctive terroirs between Kanalia and Dafnospilia. Kontozisis has been practicing certified organic agriculture and organic vinification since 1991, one of the first to get such a certification in Greece. His long term commitment to organic practices shows his honest approach to sustainability. Having worked only with the local market of Karditsa, organic practices were something that was not appreciated, but Kontozisis insisted on farming without chemicals, and making honest, natural wines.

Sun white shows the character of The "Cinderella" of Greek grapes, the delicate and aromatic Malagousia grape in all its purity, in a natural vinification which gives an elegantly floral nose and a very delicate and multi-layered palate. Certified Organic, fermentation with indigenous yeast in concrete tank for 20 days, the wine rests in concrete tank for 2 months. It is bottled unfiltered with a few sulfites. Bright yellow-green color, with an aromatic bouquet of floral notes, herbs like sage, white-flesh fruits, and melon, and a pleasant aromatic palate with flowers and citrus. Beautifully balanced.
