Just north of Zamora, Spain, resides Microbodega del Alumbro. Juanjo Moreno and his wife Maribel Rodriguez run the place with no outside help, producing completely natural wines from old vines out of a variety of clay and sandy soils. Defender of ecological behavior in biodynamic and natural viticulture, Juanjo lives with the passion of the vegetative cycle of the vines and the wild plants that surround them. One of the only people in the region totally dry-farming, the vines grow far apart to extract every bit of water they can.
