A complex, limited-production tequila aged in a unique combination of new American oak, new French oak, and a 50-liter Colbert barrel made from 400-year-old trees. The taste offers baked agave, crystallized fig, prune, and vanilla, with a surprisingly long, warming finish. A blend of 19-month Añejo and 100-month Extra Añejo. Batch 2 from Santanera’s Selección de Bosques series of añejo tequilas further explores the effects of barrel aging using specialty casks crafted in collaboration with renowned French cooperage Tonnellerie Nadalié. This blend of four barrels—each aged for 28 months—was distilled from organic agave grown on the El Llano Grande estate with the sole intent to age. These parcels were planted in April 2016 in potassium-rich soil designed to intensify an agave sweetness that is fully revealed through the influence of new American and French oak.

Each batch of Santanera Selección de Bosques is individually numbered and labeled with unique production details, including age statements for both the agave and the barreling. Each label also links to an exclusive site detailing every aspect of the agriculture, process, and certifications behind every element of the batch.
