The monk, Don Pernety, named Mont Thabor after a seedling tree to be found in Israel. A few years later in 1881, the Stehelin Family came over from Switzerland, bought the property and started to grow vines in Mont Thabor. Today Daniel & his daughter Fanny Stehelin manage the delicate vinification process.
