All the dark juicy fruit: blackberries and dark cherries, softly floral and herbaceous on the nose.  Round and mineral driven with smooth tannins and a long finish. Think meats, pastas, funky cheeses… or just something to put some warmth in the cheeks of your guests! An excellent Malbec.

Tinto de Rulo is the project of three friends who, by pooling resources, make tiny amounts of wine each year. Located in the South of Chile, in the region of Bio-Bio, Tinto de Rulo is the focused on making artisanal, terroir driven wines. The team works closely with small winegrowers, using only grapes from organic vineyards established at least a century ago. They aim to bring out the character of each place, emphasizing minimal intervention in order to showcase all the vineyard’s characteristics in the bottle.

Grown at high elevation, all the fruit for this Malbec is from old vines -  which are part of a rescue project to revive Chile’s Malbec heritage (after the discovery of 140 year old Malbec vines in the valley) and aims to establish the San Rosendo region in Bio Bio as the center of old-vine Malbec production in Chile and South America.
