Mas des Agrunelles is situated just 20km northwest of Montpellier (Languedoc) in the two small communes known as Argelliers and Murles. Unlike the typical wines of the region, Frederic and Stephanie make delicate and subtle wines with more gentle extraction. At 200m above sea level, this unique terroir sees some of the coolest microclimates in the region, keeping the freshness and acidity of the grapes desirably high.  Rather than focusing on grape varietals, each of their wines showcases the unique terroir of the individual parcel and their soils. The Cariño is 100% Carignan which comes from a plot planted in the 1950's on clay and silica soils. The grapes are macerated whole cluster and wine ages in concrete eggs.

Super bright with juicy red fruits, current and cherry with some warm fennel and tobacco notes on the finish.
