After generations (over 500 years) of selling off grapes to large cava producers, Ramon Jané broke with family tradition and started making his own wines under the name Mas Candi. Before the 1850's wine in Catalunya wasn't sparkling and Ramon is focused on bringing acclaim back to the regions still wines. This biodynamically farmed varietal Xarel-lo sees 24 hours of skin contact before fermentation, which adds a pleasant weightiness to the wine.
