Weingut Dreissigacker Riesling Trocken, Germany 2021 - This is partly estate fruit from the Heilig Kreuz site in Bechtheim and part purchased (organic) fruit from friends and neighbors. It is fermented in 100% stainless steel, with extended lees aging. It is a fairly full-bodied, dry wine at the entry level for Dreissigacker.

Alkoomi 'Frankland River' Shiraz, Australia 2020 -  Co-fermented with 'a bit' of viognier, and matured in French oak (20% new). Silky, floral, velvety, robust, dusty, ripe and spiced. The Alkoomi Black label range is a bit of a marvel. Plum, mulberry, blackberry and raspberry with lashings of salted licorice, ferrous and lavender.
