Fourth-generation vigneron Jean-Paul Dubost produces wines that combine lusciousness of fruit, mineral rigor, and open-armed friendliness in a way only great Beaujolais can. All parcels are either farmed fully organically or are in organic conversion. Dubost’s cellar regimen pulls simultaneously from regional tradition and thoughtful low-interventionism: spontaneous fermentations; classic semi-carbonic macerations, with no-destemming employed.
The end result is a perfectly balanced Gamay with elegance, finesse, structure and length. The aromas are alluring and tantalizing, with violets and dark berries. The body is smooth and full of wild berry and dark fruit flavors. The finish is smooth and delightful with silky smooth tannins and supple sophistication.
