This Lieu Dit wine from a tiny, quarter hectare parcel of some of Burgundy's most exclusive land is a powerhouse take on Chardonnay from a maestro of the varietal that remains elegant, statuesque and incredibly flavorful throughout. 

Textured and rich with lanolin, slightly bruised golden apple and a scoche of white truffle and pepper on the nose and palate, this wine finishes long and emphatically with balanced acidity, texture and complexity. 

A crystalline, regal and precise tour-de-force, this wine reminds me of Audrey Hepburn, a show-stealing room-stopping unique prima donna. Suitable for further aging, and would be amazing by itself but even better with a white truffle risotto, caci e pepe or other deceptively simple dishes.
