Bandol is one of the first wines I fell in love with, when I was first starting out in this business. There is something about the bold, rich, luxurious yet savory and unpretentious wholesomeness of the Mourvedre used in Bandol that I found utterly irresistible.

This Bandol is from a classic vintage and shows it with a tour de force of dark berry fruit flavors chased with herby olive notes and a lingering, complex finish. Produced from 95% Mourvedre and 5% old vines Grenache, it is fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for 22 months. Smoked berries, toasty wood, blue violets, roasted onions on the nose; velvety texture, complex, beautifully integrated, inky black fruit showing beautifully. Great structure and potency cellar worthy.
