This respected, benchmark family producer from Argentina has a few gems in their portfolio, and this is certainly one of them. A song of Argentine wine tradition, this cuvee blends the King of Argentine grapes, Malbec with a little Bonarda and Petit Verdot for a blend that reads at times Bordeaux-style and at others very fittingly South American.

A medium to full bodied red, this wine begins with an intense ruby color, Aromas of black fruit and violet lead to a lush, opulent, yet balanced palate of ripe fruit and spice in the lengthy finish. 

An upgrade for your midweek Malbec or a sub for a more fussy Bordeaux, this wine is smooth and generous enough to drink alone but meets the occasion for a broad variety of meals, most notably and fittingly, red meats and other foods served right off the grill.
