Juicy Cali blend of 53% Valdigue with being a field blend of old vine Carignan, Petit Syrah, Tannat. This is a vibrant deep fruited wine, macerated strawberries, plush brambly berries with something slightly rustic and leathery. Soft tannins and refreshing acidity on the finish.

Cruse Wine Co. represents the new wave in  Cali wine making: Fresh, lithe and pure.  Michael likes to focus on under-appreciated sites (managed by close friends/sustainable growers) and lesser known grapes - and to make wines that the characteristics of the grapes and the site in any given year.   Cruse spent his early years going through the biochemical and technical end of wine making and worked for some of the Big Bois in NAPA, so he knows his trade from all angles.  But he left use his skills to shine light on special places and to make wine in his own way.
