The Cinquante-Cinq label began in 2002 as a partnership between U.S. importer/distributor T. Edward Wines and a winemaker from Vaucluse, Marc Pichon. The two banded together to bring single-varietal wines made by growers championing sustainable practices in the Pays d’Oc to U.S. consumers at reasonable price points.

The name of the label translates to the number 55 in France; their first collaboration was on a single-varietal Sauvignon Blanc, sourced from 55 rows of vines. In 2016, Pichon passed away unexpectedly. Thankfully, his sister, Veronique, has taken over the winery and the project, continuing Marc's vision.
