Catalina Ugarte works with the new guard of Chilean natural winemakers like Roberto Henriquez and Pedro Parra to respect and cherish not only the native grapes and traditions of their homeland but the traditions of minimal intervention and the environment.

Because of that, one would be forgiven for thinking that this would be a serious wine, but in reality it is a joyous, vibrant take on the premiere Criollo varietal of Chile, Pais. 

The wine is redolent with a hint of tobacco, bright red summer fruit and spice. On the medium bodied palate one finds a lovely blend of floral, alpine components in a harmonious dance with the juicy fruit notes and the white pepper and hint of incensy smoke in the supple finish.
