This is a classic and elegant Barolo, a stunning value with balance, complexity, length and finesse. The wine opens with tantalizing whispers of aromatics reminiscent of the high mountains, eucalyptus, underbrush, dark fruits du bois and something earthy. 

On the palate the flavors focus into tight, cascading beams of dark fruit and berry with leather and spice bringing up the rear in a lengthy sonorous finale of grandma's purse and speck. 

To be adventurously paired with a broad variety of classic cuisines, from hot pot to pot-au-feu and beyond. Use judiciously, as it will likely steal the show with lesser fare.
