From Bruno Verdi, a producer with deep roots in the Oltrepo Pavese, still family owned and traditional yet somehow iconoclastic and utterly unique. 

The grapes are harvested by hand from vineyards in both Canneto Pavese and the adjacent commune of Castana. The wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel at a low temperature and the wine is bottled at the end of winter to capture its freshness. Verdi’s Pinot Grigio is a fine, elegant wine of great balance and relatively low alcohol.

Aromas of citrus and summer blossoms lead to a palate of freshness, structure and elegance. The finish is long and captivating, yet quite refreshing. Pair this up with a broad variety of cuisines as it’s light enough to enhance a fish dish, yet substantial enough to acquit itself nicely with poultry and pork. Especially fun with a Bucatini alla Amatriciana or Puttanesca.
