The De Forville domaine covers ten hectares over two Piedmont villages and their production is now almost entirely bottled on the estate. They have been stalwarts of Piedmont since they emigrated from Belgium in 1848.  The settled in the village of Barbaresco in 1860 and are one of the longest growing families, but it was only in 1940 that they began bottling their own wines. In the early 1900's, Paolo Anfosso married into family and now the 5th generation, his uhr-great grandchildren, Valter and Paolo are at the helm.  They take care in preserving the land and everything in the fields and cellar is done with a light touch to preserve the special quality and history of the terroir.

A Nebbiolo with striking ruby color and a nose that displays bright red fruits with hints of spice. This complexity is carried onto the palate with racy acidity and oak bringing freshness and structure. The soft tannins make this wine a viable option to open now. Give it time in the decanter and serve with fatty meats or a creamy cheese. Quality, rewarding sipping, from the first to last drop!
