Kubler Suisse, Absinthe, Switzerland - Kubler Suisse is the resurrection of a recipe first produced by Jacob Frederic Kubler in 1875. It is a distillate of wormwood and sumptuous herbs. Its color is the natural result of the infusion of aromatic plants at the moment of distillation.

Peychaud's Bitters - Peychaud was a New Orleans apothecary of Creole origin who based the drink on an old recipe that his father brought from Haiti. Although the exact recipe is not known, the base is made with gentian, while the dominant flavors are anise, fruity, herbaceous, and spicy.

Recipe: 

2 ounces Ragtime Rye

1/2 ounce simple syrup, (1:1, sugar:water)*

2 dashes Peychaud's Bitters

1 barspoon Kubler Suisse Absinthe

In a rocks glass, add a dash of absinthe and swirl to coat. Discard. In another rocks or mixing glass, add simple syrup, rye, bitters and ice and stir well. Strain into the prepared rocks glass. Garnish with an expressed lemon peel* and enjoy!
